November 1947 The late Mr. Wataru Nishibayashi started business as a wholesaler of green coffee beans and foodstuffs.
November 1953 Incorporated and named Wataru-Shokai Inc.
December 1967 Opened Nagoya Branch.
May 1971 Opened Osaka Branch.
November 1972 Organized and established Unicafe Inc., together with 57 coffee roasting companies.
February 1973 Changed the name to Wataru Real Estate Corporation.
Established Wataru & Co., Ltd. that succeeded business of Wataru-Shokai Inc.
May 1974 Completed Wataru Building.
February 1985 Established Dyoll Wataru Coffee Co., Ltd., in Jamaica by a joint investment of Dyoll Group Limited and Wataru & Co., Ltd. to launch Dyoll Wataru Blue Mountain Coffee Farm.
May 1991 Dyoll Wataru Farm started export of Blue Mountain Coffee to Japan.
October 2002 Joined FLO International as a approved importer.
March 2011 Increased share ownership of Dyoll Wataru Coffee Company Limited from 49% to 100% and changed its name to Wataru Blue Mountain Farm Company Limited.
